Depending upon the scope of the project, specific permits may be necessary, such as: tent, pyrotechnic, firearm, or environmental. The following list outlines the requirements needed to secure a film permit for most of the governmental interests in Broward County.

The Broward County Parks may ask if you would like to make a donation to a foundation that help fund park improvements. Broward County Librarys charge a location fee.

Prior to the issuance of the permit, you will discuss your project directly with the designated city contact or facility manager.

At your request the film commission will provide contacts name and phone number.

If the location is in a neighborhood, we request that you distribute a letter to all affected neighbors as far in advance as possible.

If near stores/shops please do the same. Filming Notice Form is available by calling the Film and television Commission.

With the above requirements met, a film permit can be issued within 24 hours.

Complex production projects will require meetings by your representative with several city and/or county departments and will take longer to permit. Fire and Police Departments will need to be involved.
